What are you doing for Thanksgiving? Do you have any traditions? Go in to detail about your plans for the 5 day weekend.

For Thanksgiving I am staying at home and might have my dads brother over. Then after dinner we go to my aunt's house and have dessert. We love seeing our family and hanging out and talking with everyone. Then every year for the past three or our years me and my friend Riley go Black Friday Shopping. We usually go to the Oak Park Mall, but this year I think we are going to the Plaza so we can get Kate Spade and Michael Kor items. My favorite part of Thanksgiving though is all the food. My favorite is the green bean casserole. Thanksgiving is a great time of the year for hungry people like me.

A Resume Website is a document that tells about your skills, experience, and any additional information needed. If your website is for a job or trying to get one then it should include any other jobs or experience you have had. This is very important for applying to a job or for having people and businesses see you. It is general on one page of a website and that has different sections to talk about different topics that you select for people to learn and know any experiences you have.

This quote means that it could look really pretty and you can make really cool thinks to it, but it is useless if it doesn't work.It relates to Web Design because you can make a web site really cool and attract your attention, but if your links don't work, your words aren't there, or your pictures don't show up then it is a waste of a design. Design is important, but without it working there would be no use for it and then its a waste of time and space.

Reflect on your learning this semester so far in this class. Think about the first day you walked in to this room until right now. What have you learned about Web Design? What have you learned beyond Web Design? Explain yourself.

When I first came to Web Design I knew nothing about how websites worked and how you set them up. I thought you would just go to a program and they would make everything for you, but you actually do have to do work. You need to plan out the look of how you want your website to be, like if you wan a header or a footer or a navigation bar or 2 sidebars. You need to know a lot of the codes for this too, like <HTML> <CSS> and what they mean and how to use it. This class has taught me to prepare and to make sure facts are correct, because you don't want something that's not true on the internet. I have learned to be patient and to take a break and figure things out and not stress over if something is wrong, because it doesn't solve the problem, and to every problem there is a solution.

This weekend I did many things. On Friday I had a Halloween party. It was really fun and I loved seeing all the different costumes. David, my friend, and I planned on being cops together and it was fun arresting people throughout the night. On Friday, after cleaning up, I got to go to Worlds Of Fun with a couple of my friends for the last day of the haunt. Then we went back to my house and played Ouija and watched Deliver Us From Evil. Then Sunday I rested and had a boring, but relaxing day.

This weekend I had a blast. On Friday I went to the pink out football game and that is always fun. Then I went over to my friends house and we just hung out. The next day, I just hung out and relax until 5 because I volunteered at Deanna Rose for the kids. I got to face paint little kids faces, and it was so much fun! The bad hing was that the parents expected you to be amazing artist when I could hardly draw a spider on the kids face before they got super excited and started touching it. Afterwards we went to Winsteads and some people met us we then drove over to one of there houses just to hangout again.Final on Sunday I had my birthday dinner with my grandparents and I got a ton of cute new clothes.

What kind of background do you have with Photoshop? Have you used it before? What other types of design and editing software have you used before? Explain.

The only Photoshop I have done is ones to cut people out, to change filter, and to edit my face. My background with it isn't the best because it is always hard for me to figure out how to use it. What I usually use is my camera some of the simple things, but I also use this really cool app called VSCO. It does more then just the simple thing cameras do.

Below is a letter written to the editor who wrote the article 'Enforcement of dress code creates negative effect' that your blogged about last week. Most of you wrote on your blog that you agreed with the writer. What are your thoughts after reading the letter below and seeing a different perspective. Are they the same? Are the different? Do you agree? Disagree? Explain yourself.

This article made me see the other one in a knew way. I still strongly agree with he other article on how we should express ourselves and if other people can't handle it then it's their fault. I do agree with this one though on how there is a time and place. When we come to school we should know it is taken seriously and professional and not come in a 'risky outfit." How is anyone allowed to know what a risky outfit is for anyone. Like the article said there are girls with long arms and legs but if we wear shorts that are to short its "risky" and "inappropriate" but if we wear Bermuda shorts then we get judged. The school can't exactly pick what is appropriate for us because each person is different and should be responsible for what they wear. School prepares us for the future is kind of like our jobs now and when we wear something to school we would have to wear something we would be okay with wearing in our work area and our boss seeing.

The perfect set up for classes would be where everyone had there own private desks and stayed in that area. Where you can make it your own and learn your own way. The courses would be designed on whatever you wanted to be in your later years of life. For me, since I want to be a physicians assistant I would study medicine and biology not most history. Most of the time would be for studying and learning, the other would be for live in action and doing it yourself to prepare. The classes would change because you wouldn't be learning things that aren't necessary for your future.

I agree with the article because it is not fair to us girls. I don't know how many outfits a day I go through to make sure its school appropriate. They make girls change how they dress and what they wear in its the boys that can't handle the clothes. If the outfit is to big of a distraction to a guy then the teacher should talk to them about their behavior and not what I feel comfortable wearing. Like the article said it's not fair to girls who have long arms and long legs, like me, have to wear longer shorts. On the other hand, I understand how the clothes can affect learning and how some girls would dress to inappropriate,but if there were more loose rules then I think it would work best for everyone. I think the school dress code should change and i agree with this article

I did participate in homecoming. I went with Aaron who goes to Olathe Northwest. We had a pretty good time except I and everyone else wished they played better music. I liked getting dressed up and seeing everyone look so nice. We took a cliche pic in our converse #basic. Then we went to Gaslight Grill and had some great food. The night was pretty fun for my first homecoming.

This weekend I went to my friends and she had some people over. We all went for a walk and ended up eating cereal on this walk. We then drove to our friends house to sleep over, but she had to leave because she got in trouble for not having her seat belt... WOOPS. Then Sunday i just stayed at her hose and we had a test hair trial for homecoming. Then i had to clean my room... lucky I had no homework.

Now that you are several weeks in to this class and have coded one (super small) website, what do you think? What are your thoughts on web design? Is it what you thought it would be? Is it better? Worse? What's your favorite part? What's your least favorite part? Explain.

I think Web Design is OK, I am not the biggest fan. I thought Web Design was going to be easier and I didn't expect having to know so many codes. That is my least favorite thing, all the codes, and if you mess something up then the whole ting doesn't work. Its more work then I expect, which necessarily isn't a bad thing. My favorite thing though is when you code something right you feel really tech like and that's kinda a cool feeling.

What is the importance of deadlines? How do high school deadlines reflect or simulate "real world" experience? Give an example of when you met or or didn't meet a deadline that was important.

The importance of deadlines is to teach us to get things done quickly and efficiently. When you dont have a deadline then nothing would be done and would be put off forever. In high school, deadlines help in the real world by preparing us for job deadlines, tax deadlines, and bill deadlines. If we don't ever turn things in on time, the deadline, then it creates a bad habit that will haunt you later on. If we do get things turned in on the deadline, then we will have an easier job with getting our work done and not falling behind in life, if that can even happen.

This quote is very true. One time when I was not ready for my social studies test I went in with the attitude that I was gonna fail and that I made the dumb choice of not studding. I knew I was gonna fail, but I could have fixed that, but I didn't. That was the time I set myself up to fail when I could have prepared myself to succeed.

This weekend I went to the first home football game and it was super fun! I had to leave early though because I went to a friends bonfire who lives all the way in Olathe. It was really fun to see them all again. The next day I went to my friends house and we had s'mores and a bonfire and played polish ping pong, lucky I didn't get hit. Then on Sunday, I went over to my Aunts and we had a Skype baby shower for my cousin who lives in Colorado. That's all there is to hear about my weekend.

I express my creativity through pictures and my clothes. I love to take artsy picture and fun pictures that i can enjoy. My favorite type are beach and sunset pictures. You can have two people take a picture at the same time and get completely different products. I also express my creativity through clothing. I like to do different things and try different styles.

This weekend I did so many fun things. On Friday night I went to he Blue Valley game and that was really fun, even though I spilled coke all over my white converse. Then on Saturday, my friend had a bunch of people over and we had a bonfire. The next day, we had a photo shoot downtown. It was so fun and the pictures turned out great. Then Sunday night I was asked to homecoming. Well that's all that happened in my weekend.

In Web Design I've learned the basics of html and how to set up a website. I have learned a lot but it is difficult to remember all the codes. This is my most difficult class, but it is interesting on how the whole system of creating a website work. I work hard in this class and I want to learn how to make a website properly and easily.

Over the Labor Day weekend I was sick for Friday and a little bit of Saturday, but by noon on Saturday I felt really good. Also, I celebrated my sisters 19th birthday. My mom cooked for her; we watched movies and played games all day for her birthday. I also got to hang out with my friends and found some homecoming shoes at the Oak Park Mall.

I agree with that statement because if you post/share something on the internet to be seen, why would you not want people to use it? I know I don't like to cite every picture I take from the internet, and neither do most people. When it comes to pictures, they aren't like copying a whole book or paper they aren't your words, it is just something you happen to catch on film. So yes, I do believe that images on the internet should be used by all and not cited.

Life a Blue Valley High School is going really well. I want to join some community service clubs. I think its a great way to get involved with my school and the community. I also wanted to manage the boys baseball team. I am a Freshmen and my favorite teacher is either Mr. Hulse, my Honors Biology teacher; Mrs. Scheurman, my web design teacher. I am looking forward to all the football, basketball, baseball, and soccer games. Also, the dances and late arrivals.

What do you know about Web Design right now? What did you know about Web Design before you walked in to this class? Tell me as much as you can about how web pages work. Try to use an example if possible.

I know now how to set up a website for the most part. I have to use tags when trying to write paragraphs, headers, titles, and certain parts of the website have special tags that they need. Also, I can add image to my blog and website. All I knew about Web Design was that I was gonna need to know lots of codes and I knew it was going to be very difficult. You have an <html> , <body>, <title> , etc and you ways need to close it for it to work. You can control the size of your text by using <hl1> through<hl6>. Makinng websites is a lot of work but easy to get the hang of.
